Distributed Systems Lab

Department of Computer Science, Toyohashi University of Technology

Overview

A distributed system consists of multiple nodes connected by a network. The nodes communicate with each other and cooperate to accomplish a given task. Because there are many nodes in a distributed system, failure of some nodes is inevitable. Also, the latest information might not be obtained due to network communication delays. While most information services we usually use are built as distributed systems, there are such difficulties in realizing the systems. Distributed Systems Laboratory aims to solve these problems and realize efficient distributed systems.

Distributed Systems Laboratory, which was established in April 2022, belongs to Computer and Mathematical Sciences group, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Toyohashi University of Technology. The principal investigator (PI) of the laboratory is Junya Nakamura. He belongs to Information and Media Center and also works in Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
